Our ai Assistants

We currently have two main ai assistants that are working together for us. We use a messaging app to communicate with them. Their CVs are as follows;

Claude - best for:

  • Operational tasks: SSH into sites, check logs, make fixes, report back
  • Anything requiring judgment — "is this safe?", "what's likely causing this?"
  • Multi-step workflows with tools (Telegram, uptime monitor, file management)
  • Reading and reasoning about existing code/configs before touching them
  • Back-and-forth conversation where context builds up over a session
  • Tasks where you want a human-readable explanation of what's happening

Codex - best for:

  • Pure code generation: "build me a script that does X from scratch"
  • Autonomous coding in a sandbox — it can write, run, test, iterate without risk
  • Grinding through repetitive code tasks (e.g. convert this to that, refactor this pattern across files)
  • Greenfield builds where you just want working code fast
  • Less ideal when the task needs judgment, external systems, or real SSH access

SEO — What We Can Audit & Fix

Technical SEO issues are often invisible but have a significant impact on rankings. Here's what we check and can act on directly.

robots.txt

We check it exists, is accessible, references the sitemap, and doesn't block important pages. A Crawl-delay above 10 will slow Google indexing significantly.

XML Sitemap

We verify your sitemap is accessible, correctly structured, and referenced in robots.txt. We catch 502/404 errors that would prevent search engines from reading it.

Page Titles & Meta Descriptions

Audited and updated directly via the database (Rank Math, Yoast) or theme files. Critical for click-through rates from search results.

Image Alt Tags

Missing alt tags hurt SEO and accessibility. We can audit and update all alt tags across a site via the WordPress database or template files.

Canonical Tags

We check canonical tags are correctly set to prevent duplicate content diluting search rankings across the site.

noindex Checks

Pages accidentally set to noindex are invisible to Google. We audit all public pages to ensure none are accidentally hidden from search engines.

Redirect Chains

Every unnecessary redirect adds load time and dilutes link equity. We trace HTTP/HTTPS and www/non-www redirect chains to ensure clean single-hop redirects.

What I Can’t Do

Some things are outside my reach — either server-level controls managed by 20i, registrar settings, or things that genuinely require a human decision. Here’s an honest list.

🔧 Server & Hosting Config

  • Upgrade the PHP version (done via 20i control panel)
  • Change the web server type (Apache/LiteSpeed)
  • Modify server-level firewall rules
  • Access or change hosting account billing or plan
  • Suppress CDN-injected headers (e.g. X-Powered-By added by StackCDN — outside server config)

🌐 DNS, Domains & SSL

  • Enable DNSSEC (requires registrar or DNS provider action)
  • Change nameservers (registrar level)
  • Issue or renew SSL certificates (20i handles this automatically)
  • Transfer or renew domain registrations
  • Change domain registrar settings

⚠️ Things That Need You

  • Approve any change before I make it — I always ask first
  • Grant SSH access via 20i before I can touch a site
  • Resolve 20i maintenance windows causing DB read-only errors
  • Make business or design decisions — I implement, you decide
  • Access the 20i control panel directly on your behalf
